Remember when the "evil" bush/republicans passed the patriot act? robbing Americans who are suspected of terrorism of their basic human rights?

Remember when every liberal claimed the messiah (obama) will repeal it?

Well no such luck, seems they would much rather extend it to cover suspected terrorists and suspected copyright violators.

On a semi-related note: Where are the liberals crying "We are in Libya for the oil"? We don't know the motive of these "rebels". The liberals sure didn't care about the people Saddam had oppressed. So what is so different here?

Wow, since when are copy right violators on equal ground as terrorist?

Since many of those "we're rich, but we aren't Republicans, so it doesn't count" performers and their unions support this administration. It was only bad when Bush did it.

I can admire anyone that took a stand against a Bush policy that will continue that same stand against a similar Obama policy, even if I disagree. But the crickets are noticeably quiet on a slew of issues. If one is going to be a partisan hack, I'm fine with that if they are upfront about it. It's just when the same "sins" are repeated, with out so much as a whisper (and in some cases heralded as wonderful) from the folks that were outraged, that is disturbing.

Until we can throw down the BS flag in our own houses, it's going to be the same old same old for both Democrats and Republicans. I'm still waiting to see if the "tea party" Republicans will stay true to their rhetoric or if they will be co-opted into the "business as usual" Republican party. If so they can pack their bags too. Why aren't these clowns in DC listening to the voice of the majority of Americans? Does it take an uprising? I wonder what country would "protect" the people from Obama's assault.

Actually some have started the chant.  Mikey Moron is very disappointed with Obama.  Some of the left wing nuts are at least consistent, if not as vocal with Obama as they were with Bush (but then Obama is not as effective either).

As for the Obama and the Patriot act - that is not strong enough for them, so they are ignoring the law.  Someone described this administration as lawless.  That is an apt analogy.

I have to say, I hold less contempt for those few consistent libs then their brethren.

As for the regime... Lawless is exactly right. They violate any law they feel like and they get away with it because it is their job to enforce the law (or in the case of obama, to hire/fire those who enforce it). funny how that works out. I remember several cases of explicit corruption. Like the firing of Inspector General Gerald Walpin when he tried to investigate the corruption with the mayor of Sacramento.
